The film in brief
The recruiting film presents the apprenticeship in glass apparatus making at JUMO – with an apprentice and her trainer, plenty of fire and glass. The film is available in landscape and portrait format.
A craft you have to see
Few people know glass apparatus making. The film was meant to show what makes the apprenticeship at JUMO special – and who is behind it.
At the centre are an apprentice and her trainer. We filmed them on a studio set and at their workplace – at the burner, at the machine and while drawing.

Production process
01
Concept
Studio portraits against a dark blue background alternate with scenes from the workshop. Text overlays provide information about the apprenticeship.
02
Filming in the workshop
At the workplace, the film shows what is learned during the apprenticeship: shaping glass, making parts and operating machines – up close to flame and material.
03
Landscape and portrait format
The film is also edited in portrait format. This way it runs on career pages as well as in reels and stories.
Result
The recruiting film promotes the apprenticeship in glass apparatus making at JUMO in landscape and portrait format.
